If you feel that way, then this group is for you. We’ll rehearse for four weeks, then present a lively and joyous concert for family and friends. Professional singer and vocal coach Cindy Williams will lead the way. She’s selected a few songs (some standard carols and even a Christmas rap!) to get us started. The rest of the repertoire will be chosen by the group, in a spirit of inclusivity, to honor a variety of musical selections. All levels are welcome; you don’t have to have singing experience to participate. Come one, come all, and let’s get into the holiday spirit together. Learn practical tips from long-time singer and vocal coach, Cindy Williams . Cindy will begin by explaining the mechanics of vocalizing; we often better understand how a guitar works than how our own body produces sound. She will go on to explain and/or demonstrate correct singers’ breathing, phrasing, care of the vocal cords, and so on. She will also briefly talk about knowing your keys and different vocal placements. At the end of this class you will have a tool kit of techniques to continue improving your own voice.
