CATHOLIC OUTLOOK 11 MAY 2019 Despite unseasonably hot temperatures, people joined the annual Via Crucis from San Cosme to St. Augustine’s April 19. The event takes Jesus from his appearance before Pontius Pilate to the scene of the crucifixion in the cathedral parking area. The route included stops commemorating the Stations of the Cross and concluded in the cathedral with “guards” bringing in the covered, dead body of Jesus.
