I hope you all had a great holiday season. Another year passed by just like that and technolo- gies are continuing to rapidly evolve faster than ever before. While 2018 witnessed many breakthroughs in terms of AI use cases, notably Google’s Duplex bot, the rise of Blockchain use cases, the flood of connect- ed devices and a bunch of augmented/virtual reality use cases. The cloud is still on the rise and 2019 is going to witness more hybrid cloud adoptions. Block- chain and IoT together are going to bring more and more real-time supply chain use cases to the light in 2019. Not one technology is going to solve today’s business needs, nor one technology skill set is going to pro- vide a job guarantee. One needs to be versatile with I am attracted to three formidable characters - Krish- na, Buddha and Christ. They are not just the first or last name of a person, they represent the quality of a being, representing the highest state of Conscious- ness, Atman . I am reminded of mischief, a trick I played in my 8th standard Tamil class and my Tamil teacher “ Iyya Ilan Thevan ” sentenced me to stand outside the class. While preparing for the es- say, I had come to the realization that By the grace of Lord Sri Venkateshwara and with the Blessings of His Holiness 1008 Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji , Pontiff of Puttige math, Udupi, we at SVK temple celebrated ‘ Vaikunta Ekadashi and Gita Jayanti ’ grandly on 18th December 2018 in Tempe, AZ. The Ekadashi in the Hindu month margashira (Dha- nur Masa) is popularly known as Vaikunta Eka- dashi or Mukkoti Ekadashi by South Indians. It is believed that Vaikunta Dwara (doors) are opened on this day. Devotees seeking salvation (moksha), believe pass- ing through the Vaikunta Dwara will bring them the special mercy and blessing of Lord Vishnu. They fast and chant prayers of Lord Vishnu. Fasting on this day is equal to fasting on all the 23 ekadashis of the year.
